[baviphat] Apple Soul AC Therapy Cleansing Foam

A new face cleanser I use now for my evening cleansing is the [baviphat] Apple Soul AC Therapy Cleansing Foam. It's not really new anymore. To be more exact, I got it last year and it was already manufactured in 2010. I have to use it now because you shouldn't use cosmetic longer than 2 years from the MFD on.

This Apple Soul cleaners is good for trouble and acne-prone skin. You can get five (5) other ones from this product line:
- Cherry Soul Trouble Catch Cleansing Foam
- Lemon Soul Pore Tightening Cleansing Foam
- Peach Slick Yogurt Cleansing Foam
- Fruits Moisturizing Yogurt Cleansing Foam
- White Grape Lifting Yogurt Cleansing Foam

Description: Enough cleansing foam, removes make-up residues and skin wastes.
Apple Extract get rid of sebum and trouble skin.
This 150ml Cleansing Foam comes in a large but flat tube with a white/green flip-top lid. I really like the cute cartoon print on the front of the tube. I remember that I got a Powder Pact with a similar design... The whole tube is kept in green and white colors probably because of the 'Apple'.
The Apple Soul AC Therapy Cleansing Foam contains three (3) main ingredients:
Apple Fruit Extract: Trouble Care
Dryopteris crassirh-izoma Extract: Trouble Care
Lime Flower Extract: Tightening Care
The soaps consistency is thick and creamy. It has a greenish-white color which looks kinda nice. Since there is apple inside it also smells like green apples. There is another scent as well but I can't really describe that one: a bit minty and/or nutty.
I use this cleanser for around 1 week now but I didn't notice a big improvement on my skin again. My skin troubles come and go as they wish. But I will continue using the cleanser till it's empty.

Price: around 8,- €/ US$11.50
Bought at: eBay (rubyruby76)

What I love:
The cartoon print and the scent is also not too bad.

What I don’t like:
There is nothing atm.

Will I buy this again? I don't think so. The product is not really new anymore. Not sure if they still produce it.

[baviphat] Strawberry Toxifying Mask

The first face mask I got from a Korean brand was the Strawberry Toxifying Mask from [baviphat]. I'm sure there are already many reviews about this product but I wanna write a short one, too.

This wash-off mask is good for those people with trouble skin and large pores.

Description: Detoxifying + Pore Tightening Wash-Off Mask.
A wash-off facial mask packed with vitamin C enriched strawberry extracts help detoxify and tighten pores for a more refined looking complexion.
Like most of the masks and creams from [baviphat] this one comes in a very cute design as well. The Strawberry Toxifying Mask comes in a round red countainer and looks like a strawberry. 130g are inside!
The second cover protects the mask and the included spoon makes it easy to take out the product. It's also more hygienic than using your fingers!
The consistency is thick and creamy and dries on my skin kinda fast. It has a slightly pinkish color and smells so yummy like strawberries.
After using this mask my face feels softer and more matte. I like this mask but I'm not using it too often coz I got too much other stuff.
The mask contains Strawberry Extract for preventing skin problems and Bentonite for pore tightening.

How to use: Apply and massage onto face for 15-20 minutes. Rinse off with warm water.

Price: around 10,50,- €/ US$14
Bought at: eBay (BELLOGIRL)

What I love:
The cute design and the strawberry scent.

What I don’t like:
There is nothing I dislike!

Will I buy this again? No, will try out other products.

[Holika Holika] Soda Pore Cleansing *O2 Bubble Mask*

I own mainly mud masks or sheet masks, so when I saw that [Holika Holika] released the O2 Bubble Mask of their Soda Pore Cleansing line I had to get it. This product belongs to the same product line as the Powder Wash which I reviewed earlier already.

Description: Removes waste and toxins, as well as supplies oxygen to the skin. Contains Gold Kiwifruit extracts which help exfoliates the skin.

The O2 Bubble Mask comes in a simple white plastic pump bottle with a blue sticker on it. The lid is translucent-white. The bottle contains 100ml and the pump is easy to use.
The mask has a gel-like consistency and looks slightly blue when I pump it out. On my skin it changes to bubble foam. I like the sparkling feeling!!
The scent is the same as from the Powder Wash - kinda citrus-like.

After a few minutes, when there are enough bubbles, I take a little bit of water and massage my face. The bubble foam changes to a creamy foam again. Then I wash it off!!
The O2 Bubble Mask isn't bad. I just have the problem that sometimes my skin starts to burn after I applied the mask, especially around my eye area. Because of that I use this mask just from time to time. It contains Baking Powder, Gold Kiwi, Tea Tree and Sparkling Water. Baking Powder is good for removing blackheads.

How to use: Take a proper amount and spread it over your face. Wait for a few minutes, until there are enough bubbles, then take a little water and massage your face. Wash it off with warm water!

Price: around 15,50,- €/ US$20
Bought at: eBay (BELLOGIRL)

What I love:
The sparkling feeling of the bubbles.

What I don’t like:
Sometimes it burns on my skin!

Will I buy this again? No, I won't!

[clarisonic Mia & SIRIUSONIC] Electric Face Brush

I wanted to say something about the two electric facial brushes I got: clarisonic & SIRIUSONIC.
I use the clarisonic for 3 weeks now and the SIRIUSONIC just a few times but I still wanna review both products.

clarisonic Mia (SONIC SKIN CLEANSING):
I purchased the clarisonic Mia which is the smallest and cheapest version of the clarisonic brushes. It's available in a huge range of colors - I decided to get 'Tangerine' which is a really pretty pastel orange. I also liked 'Turquoise' and 'Island Coral' but these colors were sold out at the time I ordered my one. I think all 3 colors are limited!!
I got the Mia for just US$95 (excluding shipping costs from the US) coz the shop offered 20% discount on their whole range. The normal price is usually US$119 for the Mia, US$195 for the Classic and US$225 for the PLUS.
The clarisonic Mia comes in a box which includes a Universal Voltage pLink Charger, a Trial Size (30ml) of the gentle hydro cleanser and a User Guide. A Sensitive Brush Head is already included, too.
I also purchased some Replacement Brush Heads as back-up (will last me for over 12 month):
2x Sensitive Skin
2x Deep Pore Cleansing
Waiting for a Acne Cleansing brush head as well but it didn't arrive yet.

How many brush heads does clarisonic provide?
Normal Skin: Can be used for cleansing normal skin or preparing (men's) skin for shaving.
Sensitive Skin: Gently cleanses normal to sensitive skin types.
Delicate Skin: An ultra-soft skin brush for sensitive and extra-sensitive skin.
Deep Pore Cleansing: Cleanses oily skin or skin with large pores. It gently reaches hard to reach areas of the face (like nose) and can be used daily.
Acne Cleansing: Soft and specifically designed for gentle cleansing of acne-prone skin.
Body Cleansing: A larger brush head designed for your decollete, hands, arms, elbows, feet and other areas of the body. This brush head is preferably used with the clarisonic PLUS and PRO models. It can't be used with the Mia!!

The Replacement Brush Head costs US$25 or US$40 (TWIN-PACK).
Each brush head got a translucent cap for easier removing and attaching.
The clarisonic Mia has just 1 Speed but that's fine for me. I use the brush 2 times a day for always 1 minute. The Mia automatically switches off after that time.
The clarisonic has a soft vibration and the inner ring of the brush head is turning/ rotating.
You should clean the brush head at least once a week with a antibacterial soap and let it air dry. Remove the brush head for doing that with the help of the cap: Press, move counterclockwise and then pull! To attach it again just press and move clockwise until you hear it snap in.
Replace the brush head every three (3) months to keep your brush clean and your skin healthy.

SIRIUSONIC (SONIC SKINCARE SYSTEM):
The SIRIUSONIC is just available in white.
It's not very easy to find a shop who sells this Skincare System except from their official website (siriusbeauty.com) which is located in USA.
The SIRIUS brush is more favorable than the clarisonic one. It costs US$49 (excluding shipping costs) and around US$14 for the replacement brush heads (set of 2). I have to say that I got it for free coz the shop canceled my order and still shipped it. They didn't charge my credit card!
This facial brush comes in a box and contains, beside a User Guide, a Storage Cradle and 5 different attachments:
1x Brush Head (Normal Skin)
1x Brush Head (Sensitive Skin)
1x Exfoliation (Sponge) Applicator
1x Hydration (Sponge) Applicator
1x Toning (Massage) Attachment
The Skincare System also came with a pair of batteries since it's not rechargeable like the clarisonic.
Removing and attaching the different attachments is very easy: just pull off and press on.
Compared with the clarisonic the SIRIUSONIC device does vibrate only. The brush heads aren't turning/ rotating. In addition, It doesn't switch off automatically after 1 minute.
With the same order I got 2 Replacement Brush Heads for 'Sensitive Skin' which are white/blue and not just white like the one which came with the device.
You should clean the attachments once a week with soap and replace them every 3 month (Brush Heads) or every 1-2 month (Sponge Applicators).
The Toning Attachment is made of plastic with 4 massage knobs. I don't think you have to replace this one.
The SIRIUSONIC also has just 1 Speed which is enough for me. The included Storage Cradle is very useful, too.

Which one do I prefer?
The way you have to clean your skin is with both brushes the same: wet your face & the brush head, add some cleansing foam and clean your face in circular motions:
forehead (20 sec.), nose/chin (20 sec.), cheeks (10 sec. each).
Both brushes are waterproof, so you can use them in your shower (don't throw them in water, though).

I like the clarisonic Mia a lot more than the SIRIUSONIC which I use currently only when I recharge the Mia. Unfortunately, I don't really see an improvement of my skin yet. After cleansing my skin looks sleek and some pores seem to be smaller but that's all atm. I still get breakouts, blackheads, oily skin and dry patches. Of course I will continue using both facial brushes and hope it will work on my skin soon.

I haven't tried all attachments of the SIRIUSONIC yet. Just the Sensitive Skin Brush and the Exfoliation (Sponge) Applicator. The Sponge Applicator is kinda weird, though. I don't really know how to use it, so it always seems to 'absorb' the products only. The Peeling works better when I use my hands for that.

[Holika Holika] MEDI-MEDI Acetyl Pack *AC Clearing wash-off mask*

Do you listen to K-Pop?!? Yesterday I went to the 'BEAUTIFUL SHOW' WORLD TOUR from Korean Boygroup BEAST (B2ST).
It was amazing! I liked their show even though I didn't know many of their songs before. I got their music but I have so much that I can't listen to everything. But I loved 'FICTION' and finally I listen to all CD's they released so far!! They are great!!

On twitter I got asked if I can review the MEDI-MEDI Acetyl Pack from [Holika Holika]. So, I will write a short review about this AC Clearing wash-off mask now. This mask is specially made for acne-prone skin.

Description: Special Prescription for the unfortunate acne skin type!
Salicylic Acid helps to make a clean and clear skin by remarkably soothing skin troubles.
It contains Salicilyc Acid 3,000ppm.
Like the MEDI-MEDI Magnesium Pack the Acetyl Pack comes in a white round plastic container and contains 70ml. The lid is pink with a second cover underneath.
The AC Clearing mask has a creamy consistency and is pinkish-gray. The scent is quite strong but that doesn't bother me. I apply the mask with a brush to my face. A thin layer is enough!
The Acetyl Pack contains Acetylsalicylic Acid that is a main ingredient of Aspirin (pain killer). I heard that Aspirin is good for acne-prone skin coz it cleans the blood from inside. In the mask it shall reduce the pores size, too.
To see good results you have to use the mask 1~2 times a week. I got too many other face masks, therefore I use it maybe just 1~2 times a month!! My face looks cleaner after using it but that's all. I think I really use it too seldom.

How to use: After washing your face apply a toner onto your face. Softly apply the Acetyl Pack on your skin (except eyes and mouth) and rinse it off after 10~15 minutes.

Price: around 13,- €/ US$16
Bought at: eBay (BELLOGIRL)

What I love:
The creamy consistency makes it easy to apply on my face.

What I don’t like:
There is nothing I don't like yet.

Will I buy this again? I would coz I like the MEDI-MEDI masks.
